Beads By Donna is the brainchild of me, Donna Tombs.

In September 2005, I was spurred into finally making jewellery after at least 20 years of visiting bead shops and being too scared to buy anything, by my Dutch pal Karen who, out of the blue sent my daughter a necklace she had made. So, Karen, this is all your fault - tee hee!!!

I am based in Glasgow, Scotland and you'll find me in my brightly painted studio most weekends.

Since my first lampwork lesson with Dwyn Tomlinson in Toronto I have been addicted to making my own beads for my jewellery. I am always trying new techniques and love a challenge - which recently included a sheep and 2 spaniel beads!!

I really do love to undertake commissions, creating something that is not just unique but also very personal to the wearer. So if you see something on my website that is almost right but not quite perfect, get in touch on the 'Order Now' page, and I'll see what I can do.

I am now completely and utterly obsessed with making beads - note one Bead Widower and Bead Orphan!!! Part of the garage has been converted into my lovely yellow studio - with a bright pink Buddah - and I would spend every day out there if I could!!!

I must tidy up the studio and show you all - it's lovely.
